Longwire is a Kansas City based technology design, sales and installation company. Our goal is for our clients to begin to think of their home as one system. How many buttons, knobs, etc. do you have to twist turn and push just to get your house ready when you leave? What steps do you take before you leave your home? Likely you go around and turn off lights, turn off TVs and your sound system, pull shades down or up, maybe change the thermostat setting, lock the back door, and then arm your security system “Away” and walk out the door. What if all of this could happen with one button press? In the same way, when you get home, you likely turn on some lights, turn on music or the TV, change the thermostat setting, pull or raise shades. The steps can even be different based on the time of day or whether it is dark or light outside. Pretty cool, right? You likely have a routine before you go to bed as well. Well, we can design a system that will turn off all of the lights except a path to the bedroom that will then dim out in a few minutes, turn the bedroom lights on at a low level, lower all the shades, lock the doors, close the garage if it is open, turn off the TVs and music, etc. just by pressing one button. We focus on "clean" installations with no visible wiring and hidden electronic components.
