About Look Both Ways
Look Both Ways is an arts organisation committed to working with people who are considered to be vulnerable, socially excluded or marginalised. Our work mainly consists of drama-based participatory projects and performances but we also regularly work with freelance artists from other disciplines such as dance, film, music and visual arts. The company was founded by Anne Danby on completion of her MA in Applied Theatre at The University of Manchester. Anne has over fifteen years experience working as a freelance Facilitator, Performer and Director and has worked extensively in theatre, community, education and corporate settings. Anne now specialises in working within the Criminal Justice System and currently teaches applied theatre and facilitation modules on the Leeds City College BA Hons in Performance Practice. Underlying all of our work is the belief in the possibility of individual change and the potential or capacity that every person has to take responsibility for their life and the decisions and choices they make.
