About Loono

We are Loono. We show how important prevention is. We organize educational workshops and lectures in companies, schools and festivals. We write articles and film videos. We talk about health and human body intelligibly; we do not scare with frightening statistics and we inspire others to look after themselves with care and in time. Patronage of Loono is provided by the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. Our scholarly guarantors are doctors from departments of gynaecology, urology, cardiology and general medicine. Young patients with breast, testicular cancer or other kinds of organ cancer can contact us. We gladly include them in our community, advise them, listen to them and help them with anything they will need. Our first campaign, “I Touch Them Every Month - #prsakoule (#boobsandballs)”, draws attention to the importance of self-examination in prevention of breast and testicular cancer. Its goal is to teach young people how to properly and regularly examine their breasts and testicles and discover any potential cancer in time. As only few people know that they should do so-called self-examination at least once a month. Together, we organize educational workshops at private companies, schools and festivals. The scope of our workshops is focused not only on cancer prevention (#boobsandballs), but also on cardiovascular diseases prevention (#yourheartforlife), reproductive health (#allgooddownthere) and mental health (#feelinggood).
