About Los Angeles Academy for Artists & Music Production
LAAMP, based in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, is a groundbreaking music education program for budding artists, songwriters and producers that wish to find their own artistic voice and create music without judgement - founded by Grammy-winning producers StarGate. The aim of LAAMP is to change how pop music creation is taught - not through classrooms , curriculum and theory, but through studio sessions and guidance from some of the most influential people in music. Our program includes on-site mentors from the pinnacle of their field, who work one-on-one with our exceptionally talented students. Music is produced on an ongoing basis in our 15 studios, creating a vibrant work environment literally buzzing with creativity. LAAMP is a new program, but draws from our experience of running the renowned Scandinavian pop music institute LIMPI for the past three years. LAAMP does not offer diplomas, degrees or require any prior education to attend. It's not a traditional school, in fact, we don't think of it as school at all, but a collaborative program for artists, songwriters and producers to find their true voice.
