About Los Angeles Samba School

The Los Angeles Samba School was formed with a principal focus on sharing music, samba and outreach through socially conscious events. We can often be found parading and performing throughout California as well as weekly gigs at local LA clubs and festivals. We have performed at the TED Convention, San Francisco Carnaval, Santa Barbara Solstice Parade, CicLaVia, and have been featured on numerous television programs. The LA Samba School is also affiliated with the Intercultural L.A. Samba Kids, an after school program providing free Samba drumming and dance classes for inner city kids. www.lasambakids.org Besides performing traditional Samba rhythms we are very much a proponent of modern arrangements and the new school of samba drumming!
