About Los Robles Children's Choir
Los Robles Children’s Choir (LRCC) consists of over 100 children ages 6-18 from over 45 schools across Ventura County. Our four choirs (Apprentice, Bel Canto, Amadeus and Camerata) assist children in developing their vocal, aural, musical and choral skills. LRCC’s rigorous training program includes weekly rehearsals, where vocal technique, stage presence, musicianship skills, and teamwork are regularly taught. LRCC, under Artistic Director Edward Rouse, is recognized for its choral artistry and excellent musicianship. Founded in 1997 by Donna Young, LRCC not only performs their own concerts in the Conejo Valley, but collaborates with Los Robles Master Chorale and the New West Symphony. The children have sung under the direction of many world-renown conductors including Paul Salamunovich, Sir David Willcocks, Henry Leck, Z. Randall Stroope, Vance George and David Flood. LRCC has sung in London, Canterbury, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, and Mainz, Denver, and Carnegie Hall in New York City. In July of 2012, a chamber group traveled to Nashville, TN to sing in the Crossroads Children’s Choral Festival at the Grand Ole Opry.
