Lost Pet Services, Inc. is a 100% volunteer-based organization dedicated to keeping pets healthy and safe through veterinary medical funding for pets in crisis, reuniting lost pets, innovative programs, and community engagement to reduce shelter intakes to help keep pets home with those who love them. Here's How We Do It - Lost Pet Recovery Services: Lost and Found Pets 941 (Lost Pet Services): This group provides a platform for owners to report and search for lost pets, increasing their chances of a happy reunion. We receive over 200 reports of lost and found pets every month. All services are free of charge. - Medical Assistance Program: * The PAWs Project keeps pets and people together by providing financial assistance grants to family-owned pets needing lifesaving emergency, critical, or specialty veterinary care whose owners cannot afford the total cost of treatment, preventing pet surrender and economic euthanasia. * "There’s No Place Like Home" safety net and medical program offers comprehensive support to prevent pet surrenders or economic euthanasia, including essential supplies (food, litter, bedding), pet equipment (collars, leashes, crates, gates), financial assistance (pet rental deposits, shelter intake fees), and temporary boarding and behavioral training. Medical care is covered up to $500 for routine, sick pet or preventative care for needy pet owners. - Adoption and Foster Care: We find loving homes for lost strays and surrendered pets - Free Resources: We provide microchips, ID tags, microchip scanners, and educational materials to promote pet safety and responsible ownership. paws-project.org for more information on our medical program initiative.
