About LOT Geotechnics
LOT Geotechnics provides windowless sampling and other services to the site investigation industry. We focus strongly on the quality of our work and pride ourselves on our capability. All our lead drillers are qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling and our operatives hold CSCS cards. We also have trained first aiders available. The company was set up in 2007 and is owned and managed by Keith Evans, a geotechnical engineer with over 20 years experience. Our window sampling service includes the provision of a heavy duty Archway Competitor Dart rig with 10m of rods, sample barrels, SPT attachments and 5m of casing. In addition, we carry a hydraulic breaker and concrete coring attachment. We also have available a larger diameter casing system, which is used in conjunction with a 126mm diameter windowless sample barrel and gives us the capability to take U100 and UT100 samples. We have used this system effectively to depths of 8m, although it does have the potential to go deeper in suitable ground conditions. As well as windowless sampling, we also undertake concrete coring, soakaway testing, TRL DCP tests, trial pitting and engineering supervision for our clients.
