About Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance through treatment and helpline services to individuals and families who may be affected by problem gambling, substance use or suicide. We neither advocate for nor oppose gambling but promote education, prevention and treatment for those in need of our services. Primary funding is provided by contracts with the Office of Behavioral Health, State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospitals, and by grants from the Louisiana Casino Association, and individual donors. Our programs are operated by Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling, which came into existence in 1996 and is the Louisiana affiliate for the National Council on Problem Gambling.
