About Love Blue

Love Blue Inc is a nonprofit beach cleanup organization with a goal and mindset of positively transforming our oceans and world as we know it. Unfortunately, about eight million metric tons of plastic enter our oceans every year, which is negatively affecting a robust amount of species and wildlife. Love Blue's mission, although large, is to decrease these numbers every year by educating and joining communities together to make this world a healthier and cleaner place. Love Blue came to be by a group of friends and lifeguards that were astonished by the amount of trash and debris washing up on our beaches, so we decided to take action. We began utilizing our free time by walking the beaches of Wildwood Crest, NJ every day picking up litter. In only a few weeks, friends, fellow lifeguards, and the community started to join us, starting what we now call "The Blue Movement." As time went on, our love for the ocean grew founder, but sadly the sea became more littered. We knew the next step to slowing down ocean pollution was to make this movement more substantial than just in Wildwood Crest, so Love Blue Inc was born on July 1, 2019. Love Blue is currently at Coastal Carolina University (the largest beach cleanup organization in Myrtle Beach, SC), Stockton University, and The University of North Carolina Wilmington. Bringing the "Blue Movement" to places of higher education helped draw attention to our fellow peers, professors, and communities of the catastrophic changes our ecosystem and environment are going threw due to ocean pollution. We plan to grow this movement throughout the East Coast and to all levels of education so we can further educate and combat what is occurring, but we need your help to see this threw. Ride the wave with us and make Blue the new Green.
