Love Local Trust Local are proud to recognise and celebrate small independent businesses that genuinely support and embrace everything ‘local’. Our Mission Statement - Putting consumer trust back into buying local - Promoting products with genuine provenance and full traceability As supporters of the LEAF campaign, every third year the Cossins family hosts Open Farm Sunday on the farm and take the opportunity to talk to as many local people as possible. Their visitors love knowing the story of their food, the miles it has travelled and that they are buying and eating genuine local produce. At the 2018 event it became clear the scare stories in the media had created doubt in many of people’s minds, so they decided to do something about it…. Love Local Trust Local, Dorset’s very own produce label was born. Following on from the creation of the label, in the summer of 2020, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the inaugural Love Local Trust Local Awards were launched for Dorset producers. The awards received not only some fabulous entries but were deemed a huge success by all the sponsors and judges and created significant interest in the press and from many Dorset businesses wanting to be involved. The Cossins family are passionate about Dorset, advocates of promoting British farming and the collaboration of small local businesses working together. The intention is for the Love Local Trust Local Label and Awards to grow and to support of all that is Dorset! One of the key objectives of Love Local Trust Local has always been to help tell the stories of Dorset producers, letting people know where they are and how to buy their products. Our intention is for the Love Local Trust Local Awards to grow and to be around for many years to come in the support of all that is Dorset.
