The gallery is erupting with brilliant, succulent colors that embrace you upon entering the multi-level, wall to wall celebration of New Orleans, the French Quarter, and all things JAZZ... Dancing light posts gyrate with the rhythm of swinging, and swaying architecture of French, Spanish and Creole influence. Deep waves of impasto oil paint allow us to walk right into any of the truly fantastic paintings... yet, it is the colors that are inviting us further in with one fantastic burst after another. Lozano & Barbuti Fine Art Gallery is an artist-owned gallery which features original oil paintings by Ricardo Lozano, Ivan Villa, Rene Ortiz Ruiz, as well as the owners, husband and wife team, Caliche & Pao. There are also intricate jazz sculptures by Joseph Race and astounding repoussé by master metal wizard Carlos Lorenti. You will also discover fine art glass and other treasures in this 200 year old urban mansion turned art palace. From Bogata Columbia, Rene Ortiz Ruiz paints with light wisp-strokes of Caribbean turquoise, azure, and aquamarine with flashes of golden sunlight, tangerine, lavender and other ethereal splashes that transform a bicycle or even a saxophone into a lightly textured work of genius. Also holding impressive real-estate are the equine portraits by artist Ivan Villa. These perspicacious and incredibly realistic horse portraits capture every detail, even the personality of a majestic stallion.
