At LQM Makalima Consulting (Pty) Ltd, we can design and conduct feasibility assessment studies of Hydropower Plants which can include the electro-mechanical costs assessments, civil works costs assessments, operational and maintenance costs, hydropower energy yield generation, return on investment determination and more. We can evaluate different types of Hydropower systems such as Run-of-River or Small Hydropower Systems, Reservoir or Storage Hydropower Systems, Pumped-Storage-Hydropower Systems and Pump-As-Turbine (PAT) Hydropower Systems. We can also design dams, conduct, hydrological models, determine surface water volumes/runoffs and analyse ground water sources.
