About LSE SU Hedge Fund Society
The LSESU Hedge Fund Society is the largest buy-side society in the UK, dedicated to the hedge fund and asset management industry, and attracts 300+ members each year. Our reputation empowers us to host prominent portfolio managers, researchers, and founders at our fireside chats and speaker panels, ensuring that our members genuinely learn to think like investment professionals and obtain the most sophisticated insights into different asset classes and trading strategies. Past guests included Paul Marshall, Richard Friedman, and Bill Ackman. Our events programme also consists of company visits and the annual Wine and Dine Dinner, at which members have the chance to network and socialise with high-profile industry figures. To complement this, we encourage students to participate in trading and stock pitch competitions and apply their knowledge to generate trade proposals for our Research and Trading division. This comprehensive immersion enables many of our members to secure internships and jobs at leading investment banks and asset management firms.
