About LSESU Bacchus Wine Society
The LSE SU Bacchus Wine Society has been focused on wines and spirits education at the London School of Economics for over 100 years. The largest social society at the LSE, Bacchus warmly welcomes experienced and inexperienced drinkers alike. Furthermore, the Society is extremely diverse, containing undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD students and professors from around the world. Bacchus endeavours to educate our members through professionally-guided tastings, culturally themed events and events that act as a platform for sponsors to introduce themselves to the Society’s membership. Our members are active lovers of wine and spirits and seek out not just LSE-based events, but engage with London's broader wine and spirits scene. We accomplish this through numerous off-campus events, where students can relax and discover the city in which they study and may go on to make their home. These events help students shape their tastes through unique and memorable experiences throughout their time at the LSE, often tailored by our partners and donors. The Bacchus committee works hard to expose members to premium products and world-class speakers by connecting them with carefully-selected brands, organisations and individuals.
