About LU-CIX
LU-CIX, the heart of the Luxembourg Internet, operates multiple solutions supporting secure and sovereign digital communications in a public-private partnership mode. LU-CIX ASBL, the Luxembourg Internet exchange, was founded in 2009 based on a not-for-profit association with an open and neutral philosophy. Its aim is to develop and support the Internet and data centre ecosystem in Luxembourg by providing the national peering and VoIP exchange services to its members. LU-CIX ASBL brings a major contribution to the Luxembourg Internet community by organising the leading yearly industry events, Luxembourg Internet Days, LUNOG & Gemengen Dag, which attract over a thousand experts and decision makers from all around the globe. LU-CIX GIE, also launched in 2009, operates the Internet exchange infrastructure. In 2021, the Luxembourgish State, together with LU-CIX GIE, launched MyConnectivity G.I.E. to support the access to high performance connectivity for all (private households and businesses) in the context of the 5G and ultra-high-speed national strategies. LU-CIX GIE, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg and the Ministry for Digitalisation, launched in 2023 the instant messaging solution Luxchat for the whole population and businesses in Luxembourg.
