Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH (LHG) operates the public ports in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck and is Germany's largest ro-ro port operator on the Baltic Sea. The majority of the company is owned by the Hanseatic City of Lübeck (62.5%) and employs around 750 people (including subsidiaries). LHG operates four port handling terminals along the Trave with 18 ro-ro ship docks and a covered storage area of approx. 270,000 m². In addition to its core business, port handling, stevedoring and warehousing, LHG, as a modern logistics group, offers a wide range of services together with its subsidiaries and holdings. Around 22 million tons of goods are handled at our terminals every year, including rolling loads such as trucks and semi-trailers, containers, forest products (paper, pulp, wood), steel, new vehicles, but also bulk goods such as fertilizers or building materials.
