Since 2008, we have been producing films and series for cinema and television with great passion, love for the stories and respect for our creative partners. The focus is on the idea, the story or the “format”. That's why - alongside the directors - writers always play a prominent role for us. Lucky Bird is a partner for successful authors such as Cornelia Funke (𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗢𝗻 𝗜𝗰𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀), Fred and Léonie Breinersdorfer (𝟭𝟯 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀), Holger Karsten Schmidt (𝗗𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝗳𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴) and Julia Franck (𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁). As a German production company, we think internationally in terms of development, realization and evaluation. Profound experience in international co-productions and curiosity about content and partners even beyond borders are trademarks of Lucky Bird. Our TV and cinema productions are successfully distributed worldwide and are shown in the UK, Canada and the USA in cinemas and/or TV and home entertainment. The sole shareholder of Lucky Bird Pictures, which emerged from a German-Scandinavian venture with the Swedish Yellow Bird Group, has been Oliver Schündler since 2012. Since 2018, Lucky Bird has also had a place in the early evening with the successful series “𝗪𝗮𝘁𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘁” for Das Erste. In 2015, producers Boris Ausserer and Oliver Schündler were awarded the Bavarian Film Award's producer prize for best film and nominated for 7 Lolas (𝟭𝟯 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀). In 2023, the feature film - 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 - was nominated for Best Film.
