In 2012 LuMu Interiors opened as a retail platform to compliment Nicole Vatselias’ existing interior design & styling work. With a move to Double Bay in 2015, LuMu became a go-to sourcing destination for Australian designers, decorators and stylists. Interest from around the world soon followed, and today LuMu has a rapidly growing international customer base. LuMu’s product offer is a carefully curated mix of bespoke and one of a kind specialty furniture and decorative pieces from France, Denmark, China, Thailand, Turkey, Africa, India and Australia. LuMu stocks original and reworked antiques, contemporary artwork, mirrors, handmade pieces, statement lighting, garden elements as well as a range of decorative objects and art created by, and exclusive to LuMu. 2020 saw the consolidation of the LuMu Interiors high street retail showroom and warehouse into a unique showroom space, creating an atmosphere of discovery amid highly coveted treasures. The LuMu Interiors design studio is a multi-discipline design practice with an extensive portfolio of interior projects, landscape designs, and original artwork. A Design Practice Member of the Design Institute of Australia, the studio also designs a range of furniture and objects, manufactured in their Sydney workshop, available exclusively through LuMu Interiors. Sold globally, gracing interiors around the world, they regularly feature in publications including Belle, Vogue Living, Home Beautiful, House & Garden, Inside Out, Real Living, Sunday Life, and various online media. The studio’s interior projects include high profile residences, commercial interiors, retail spaces, and hospitality venues. With a signature design aesthetic, and uniquely identifiable style, LuMu Studio emphasises the importance of bespoke, eclectic and sophisticated interiors.
