About Luncedo Non-Profit organisation

Luncedo is a non-profit organisation (NPO) established in 2018 by four university students who saw a dire need to empower their community’s young people. Born and bred in Mkhizwane and surrounding rural areas of Cato Ridge, these individuals got the opportunity to enrol at various institutions of higher learning after completing matric, having been exposed to the reality and the struggles of young people of their area due to lack of information and necessary resources on accessing further education and training. They gave birth to the idea of starting an organisation that would try to address these challenges and ultimately motivate and assists young people in tapping into the different opportunities that will usher them into a brighter future that will benefit not only themselves but also their families and community at large. The organisation work with high school learners from grade 9 to grade 12. This aim is to guide them into choosing the relevant subjects required for their chosen career path. For learners who are in matric, Luncedo assists them with online applications to the Central Applications Office (CAO) for institutions of KwaZulu Natal and throughout the respective websites for other institutions throughout the country. This is inclusive of applications for financial assistance to the likes of the National Students Funding Aid Scheme (NSFAS)
