About Lustenberger & Dürst

Fine Art of Swiss Cheesemaking since 1862. Since 1862, the house of Lustenberger & Dürst has embodied the finest Swiss cheese craftsmanship. Today, our brand LeSuperbe carries this heritage into international markets. Lustenberger & Dürst SA is thus one of the oldest affineurs (maturers) of cheese in Switzerland. Since September 2019, Simon Gander has led the successful SME as successor to his father, Richard Gander, who continues to support the company as a member of the board of directors. The cheese specialties are produced exclusively for Lustenberger & Dürst by partner dairies and then carefully matured in the company’s affinage cellars in Hünenberg (ZG) or Heitenried (FR). Each year, around 8,000 tons of cheese are processed with modern packaging facilities in Hünenberg and exported to more than 40 countries. With its headquarters in Switzerland, Lustenberger & Dürst employs over 100 people and maintains subsidiaries in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, making it active worldwide. Lustenberger & Dürst stands for natural and sustainably produced food – from cow to cheese: uncompromising enjoyment and the highest Swiss quality.
