About Lux Choral Society

Lux Choral Society is an elite religious choral organization. Lux (sounds like Luke’s) consists of three different ensembles: Lux Singers, Lux Men’s Chorus and, Lux Women’s Chorus. Each member is dedicated both to the choral arts and to his or her own religious faith and congregation. ‘Harmony Perfected’ is the motto by which the Lux Choral Society operates, seeking to share the majesty and versatility of the human voice. Our mission is to sing great works from the masters of sacred music; to sing for the congregants of all faiths, in diverse places of worship. Lux comes from the Latin word for light. As a choir we seek to share the light from each religion’s musical tradition with the world. We believe that sacred choral music can change the lives of all those who hear it. Our goal is to be unified, technically compelling, spiritually tuned, and highly expressive as we communicate eternal truths through inspired sacred music. From our rigorous and effective rehearsing, we seek to share the beauty, hope, goodwill, and love housed within each religious denomination through passionate, artistic, intimate, honest, and compelling performance that lifts, ennobles, and enriches the lives of each congregate, singer, and audience member. Additionally, we value giving back to our choral community and heritage through clinics and exchanges with the choral singers of tomorrow.
