About LWDW Training

LWDW Training is a non-profit training organisation based in Lewes, East Sussex. Our Mission is to transform the way dying, death and bereavement is considered; educating and empowering people and communities through person-centred learning and training. We aim to create a world that incorporates and embraces death as a natural and normal event, approaching it with understanding, openness and hope. Our Foundation training course in 'The Person-Centred Approach to Death and Dying' is designed for ordinary citizens to become more informed about death and dying, some will choose to volunteer in their communities as end of life companions. Following from the Foundation Training, those who wish to work as End of Life Doulas will continue onto our 4 part Diploma Programme, accredited by The Crossfields Institute. Individuals trained by LWDW Training can become members of End of Life Doula UK - the UKs membership organisation for those practicing end of life doula work. Our training attracts people around the world from a variety of professional backgrounds; ranging from those with no experience in end of life care to palliative care professionals. Our accredited training is fully facilitated by a team of experienced trainers and can be taken either online or face to face in one of our venues across the UK. LWDW Training is a member of the National End of Life Care Coalition.
