About Lynch Architects

Lynch Architects are a diverse group of talented architects with a great deal of shared experience and expertise, working on an unusually wide range of architectural commissions at almost every scale. Together with the directors and associates, the team provide clients with the highest level of technical knowledge and creative thinking. Industry accolades for Lynch architects include winning the Young Architect of the Year Award in 2005 and being listed as one of the world's twenty-five best architects in Wallpaper Magazine 2005. In 2008 the practice exhibited in the Irish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and exhibited there again as part of the official selection in 2012. The Zig Zag Building was acclaimed best office at the World Architecture Festival in 2016. Founding Director Dr Patrick Lynch is an honorary professor at The University of Liverpool and teaches at UCL. Notable public lectures and guest teaching include Milan Polytechnic, Harvard Graduate School of Design, RCA, and ArkDes Stockholm. Claudia Lynch joined the practise in 2005 and is a co-director alongside David Evans. Recent projects include n2 and The Zig Zag Building - both office buildings, and Kings Gate, an apartment block, and Westminster Coroner's Court - all situated in Victoria in the heart of London. Lynch Architects also work on smaller residential projects in London and the English countryside, as well as social housing and cultural buildings. The practise also runs Canalside Press, a small publishing house specialising in books devoted to urban aesthetics, landscape, photography and poetry.
