LYNKS was established in 2018 by Lynne Monahan (Social Worker) and Kathy Smith (Occupational Therapist), clinical managers working for the Department of Communities (Disability Services). Lynks evolved from an idea, a shared set of values and a strong desire to continue service delivery with positive outcomes with people with disabilities. We are a mobile service providing support for therapy, support coordination, living arrangements, home modifications/equipment, mealtimes, communication, aging in place and challenging behaviour/Restrictive Practices. We do not offer services to early childhood clients. Our services include Social Work, Support Coordination, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Speech & Language Pathology. Lynks have been operating for over a year. We are building a service that will be valued by clients and agencies, because we aim to value-add to people’s lives and offer realistic, positive outcomes.
