About Lysterfield District Trail Riders

Lysterfield District Trail Riders is a group of passionate, volunteer mountain bikers who assist Parks Victoria to maintain the Lysterfield Park mountain bike trail network through volunteer works, fundraising and grant funding programs. The proximity of our trails to Melbourne city, paired with the extensive network and variety of single track makes us one of Australia's busiest mountain bike parks. Lysterfield Park includes the State Mountain Bike Course which hosted the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games cross country mountain bike competition. We're a talented bunch of humans who love to chip in and help in the following ways: • Maintaining existing and building new mountain bike trails. • Holding mountain bike races and events • Getting together for a variety of social rides • Supporting bike demo days. • Communicating with other stakeholders (for the park and the sport). • Being a voice for those who have an interest in our sport and the trails at Lysterfield Park. We also run a Trail Adoption Program (TAP) which gives businesses the ability to financially support the maintenance works on individual trails. Businesses can also opt to provide keen staff members to volunteer and help out on designated TAP partner trail build days. TAP partners can also visibly promote their brands out on the trails via custom designed TAP signs.
