Medical Biologist Association Mebiose is a student association founded in 1986 coinciding with the formation of a new study: Medical Biology. Today the study is called “Biomedical Sciences” and Mebiose has grown into a mature society. Mebiose can be divided into two branches, namely an entertainment-branch and education-branch. Although at first glance they may seem to serve very different functions, for Mebiose, they are inextricably linked. Mebiose, as a study association, intends to serve all students of BMS. Many activities are organized troughout the year. The aim is to provide the student with information about their future career and prepare them well for making inportant choices, but also to make sure they have a good time as a student. Furthermore, we want to have a good quality education. The Vice-President (vice-Praeses) of Mebiose is the Mebiose board member responsible for monitoring the quality of the BMS studies. They will gather input from representatives of the three bachelor years and representatives of the various Master’s programs. Moreover, at the monthly “Medical Biology Meeting”, all students interested in education discuss everything that is linked to BMS education. In this meeting representatives of all the various education boards and education committees are present. Various committees of the entertainment-branch are responsible for succesfully organizing activities. The Board is responsible for the day-to-day business and provide assistance for committees in organizing their activities. In addition, there are groups supporting board members in their tasks.
