M81 is a software house, developing solutions exclusively on IBM i. The products: >>> "Flash for i" to manage from the IBM i, SnapShots/FlashCopies on the External Storage (IBM Storwize/SVC/FlashSystems/DS or some Dell/EMC units or PureStorage); Objectives = generate in some seconds an exact clone of your IBM i PROD partition and completely manage the use of it!. Use cases: * to run hot backups ("daily user backups" or "full system backups" (Save21), with or w/o BRMS, with ASP and/or iASP, on tapes or VTL = nearly no more 'restricted mode' interruption * to create/refresh in some little minutes environments for tests /acceptance/preprod/anonymization/... = lower upgrades risks, better test quality guaranteed * to create daily 4, 6 or more INSTANT copies (including SafeGuarded Copies) of all your PROD disks = many recovery possibilities (with little disk space needs) * to execute SQL queries, extract data, run analytics tools ... >>> "Control for i" to upload all the IBM i events/issues/alerts into your existing enterprise monitoring solution (e.g; Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, ... and dozens of others including SaaS solutions). - more than 180 "plug and play" unitary controls are supplied to monitor systems, applications, messages, HA, EDI, backups, batches, ERP, transfers, middlewares, databases, logs, ... - controls/checks are setup on the IBM i (commands and their parameters) tested and validated on IBM i, then just easily copied in Nagios (or others) - no development needed at all !!! - nevertheless, it allow you also integrate self-developed controls and of course to request M81 to develop new probes. - it allow also to answer automatically to some specific messages
