About Macahl Animal Health

Macahl is a family business from Northern Ireland that prioritises pet health. In 2004, John and Anthony Mackle developed the first isotonic pet hydration formula called 'Dx' for sick and dehydrated pets. In 2006, JAM Animal Health was established, and the Oralade® brand was launched. With its unique, highly palatable formula, Oralade® quickly became the go-to hydration solution for veterinarians and pet owners, revolutionising how pets are cared for when sick or dehydrated. The business continued to innovate and grow, becoming Mac Animal Health Ltd (now known as Macahl) in 2015. Oralade® is now available in two expanding ranges: Advanced for veterinary-led animal care and Active for sporting and working dogs, with continuous product development in progress. In 2023, the Vets Menu® brand launched, bringing the scientific backing of Oralade® to the healthy pet treat market. The debut of meal-enhancing gravy toppers provides a junk-free boost to your dog’s dining experience while promoting healthy bodily functions. The Vets Menu® range is set to grow further with more healthy treats and cat-specific product development underway. Macahl manages the manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and technical support of its evolving range of products. Distributing to over 60 countries worldwide, the company continues to invest and grow, developing new products and entering new markets. Macahl aims to deliver top-quality products, services, and assistance to every customer. With GMP+ accreditation in the manufacture of complementary feeds, Macahl guarantees the quality and traceability of its product ingredients, from source to bottle.
