About 澳大利亞澳門學生及校友聯會 Macau Student and Alumni Association - MACSA, Australia.
Macau Student and Alumni Association, Australia, or MACSA, is a non-profit student association established by Macau students and alumni who study in Australia. The members of MACSA include tertiary students in Australia and alumni in Macau. The three main aims of MACSA are: (1) to unite Macau students in Australia and provide assistance to future and current students studying in Australia, (2) to promote cultural exchange and communication between Macau and Australia, and (3) to support the development of Macau and China. During the past years, MACSA has held many events and seminars, such as Orientation camps and Australian Education Seminars. MACSA has also assisted the Macau Government Tourism Office – Sydney office during the past two years in the Macau Festival (before named Macau Road Show) and introduced the culture and customs of Macau to local people. Our Orientation Series have been very successful in the past. They help students to gain a deeper knowledge of Australian culture through different activities, games and sight-seeing and at the same time facilitate Macau and Australian cultural exchange. Since the establishment of MACSA, it has been bridging between Macau and its students in Australia, helping students to adapt to their new life in universities as soon as possible, and taking the responsibility to promote Macau. We understand how reluctant students are to part with their family and friends to go abroad; we understand how hard it is to leave their own home and live in an unfamiliar country; and we understand the need of students studying abroad.
