MACFEST is a groundbreaking Muslim Arts and Culture Festival taking place across the city of Manchester. The first of its kind, MACFEST’s mission is to celebrate arts, culture and diversity. We want to connect communities throughout Greater Manchester and beyond with literature, art, history, music and more. This year we launched MACFEST with over 50 events in 9 days across Greater Manchester, celebrating the rich heritage of the Muslim diaspora communities. This year's festival was held in Manchester's iconic British Muslim Heritage Centre, The Manchester College, Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester Central & Longsight library, Abraham Moss High School, Manchester Central Mosque, University of Manchester, Elizabeth Gaskell House, Manchester Museum, Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Resource Centre and The Turkish Centre.
