About Mackinnon and Saunders
Mackinnon & Saunders is an award-winning UK-based production company with over 30 years of experience in puppet-making, stop-motion animation, 2D animation, and IP development. Combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital technologies, we have created highly expressive and distinctive characters for feature films such as Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio, Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, and Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. We also provide puppets and full-service production for television, on series such as The Mixmups, The Sound Collector, Twirlywoos, Postman Pat SDS, and Raa Raa The Noisy Lion, and for commercial projects including Numan: Inertia Man, Red Tractor and Macy’s – Tiptoe and the Flying Machine. More recently, the company has expanded into live-action, producing segments for the hit preschool series BooSnoo. In addition, we enjoy collaborations with partners in the UK and around the world helping them develop and realise their IP, as well as developing original content of our own.
