Mack of Mack was born when its founder, Mack, a wooden boat restorer and avid motorcycle rider, developed a reaction to his leather gloves. Like most consumers, he didn’t know that 85% of leather goods are tanned using chromium salts, which not only pollute our earth, but consist of toxic chemicals that can cause or aggravate skin allergies. Mack couldn’t find any 100% vegetable tanned leather gloves that really fit the bill when it came to his riding needs. Hence, Mack of Mack. Our company designs and manufactures high-quality, 100% vegetable tanned leather gloves for motorcycle enthusiasts and anyone who dresses (or shops) with a conscience. Our vegetable tanned leather gloves protect your hands from the cold, the wind, the asphalt and from the chemical compounds used in industrial manufacturing. We partner only with recognized, certified tanneries who can ensure that the leather is 100% vegetable tanned and free from harmful chemicals.
