About MAD-Aid

MISSION -- Making A Difference | Medical Aid Delivered MAD-Aid was founded in 2012 to Make A Difference. It started with a mission to deliver medical aid from the Isle of Wight, UK, to one of the poorest countries in Europe, Moldova, from where the founder and CEO, Victoria Dunford hails. Today, MAD-Aid works on four main programs: 1. Collect recycled medical equipment, wheelchairs, furniture, and other aid in the UK and deliver them to health care providers and individuals in need in Moldova. 2. Oversee the management of the world-class Phoenix Centre in Riscani, north of Moldova, a day centre for youth with special needs and an early intervention and rehabilitation centre that MAD-Aid established in 2015. 3. Build and manage Phoenix Home, a self-sustainable modern care facility offering personalized family-oriented care to elders next to the Phoenix Centre. This program was soft-launched in June 2019. 4. Build and operate Phoenix Pool, a hydrotherapy pool that will service not only the youth and elders of Phoenix but also the local community. Construction and fundraising is ongoing. MAD-Aid cannot thrive without its volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters. VISION: Help create a world where children and adults with special needs have access to the same opportunities as others to fulfil their life’s ambitions, a world where they too can contribute their gifts and skills.
