About Madres del Parque

Madres del Parque organization began as a clean up team of mothers and their children and has since grown into a space of community. The work has shifted to include walks and talks that have given us deep insight to the huge need for access to green spaces, healthy food, education, nature, community and connection. We know that individuals’ life expectancy is tied to one’s zip code and Madres strives for community wellbeing. We define wellbeing holistically as financial, physical, mental, and environmental wellness. Our mission Madres del Parque empowers the community by centering women as the core builders of action by reconnecting with themselves, each other, their ancestors and nature. Nuestra misión Madres del Parque empodera a la comunidad al centrar a las mujeres como las principales constructoras de la acción al reconectarse consigo mismas, entre sí, sus ancestros y con la naturaleza.
