About Mahler Philharmoniker

The Mahler Philharmoniker is a non-profit society of musicians and artists, established at the heart of Vienna. The Mahler Philharmoniker features every possible combination of chamber music ensembles from duos to decets. In addition, it also features world-class soloists in every symphonic instrument, classical singers specialized on the fields of Oratorio, Lied and Opera; as well as Mahler Virtuosen and Mahler Chamber Chorus. While its Academy of Music's walls are embellished by the Mahler Gallery of Art, the Mahler Philharmoniker welcomes every year highly talented young musicians to enroll into the Mahler Institute's intensive musical training and preparation towards a future membership to the society. Every July, the Mahler Philharmoniker celebrates its summer appointment at the Salzburg Voice Festival. A two-week long festival featuring highly gifted classical singers from every corner of the globe. This festival takes place at the inspiring venues of the Leopodskron Palace, while celebrating concerts in several churches and distinguished concert spaces throughout the city of Salzburg. Furthermore, the Mahler Philharmoniker's project is to pursuit profound research, performance praxis and specialized instruction on the works of Gustav Mahler. The Mahler Philharmonic states its first goal therefore, on the recording of the entire works of the composer. Through its recording label, MPhilRecords, these recordings will be made available in both DVD and CD worldwide.
