In 1974 Gus MacDonald started Maine Surveyors Service as a solo operator in a garage. Maine Surveyors Service maintained pace with the market and the evolving technology and became Maine Technical Source. Through his hard work, dedication, and a 100% commitment to keep MTS customers satisfied; the company has grown to what it is today- four branches covering New England and New York. Stuart MacDonald purchased MTS from Gus in 2017. Stuart and the first-rate MTS team have continued the legacy of meeting every customer’s need. The Maine Technical Source Team is singularly focused on providing exemplary customer service. For almost 50 years, Maine Technical Source has proudly supplied surveyors, engineers, contractors, and architects with the world's finest technical and measurement tools, supplies, software, training, and service.
