Mainline One Limited is a transportation company, set to deliver a feasibility report into proposed new domestic rail network in the UK. The plans shall include new routes facilitating a link to HS1 and HS2, two cross Thames routes within the outer Thames Gateway and at Canary Wharf. To connect major hub towns and cities (including Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, Canterbury, Southend, Portsmouth and Southampton) with each other, via the new ML1 route through central London. To provide direct fast link to Heathrow and Stansted airports from the new locations cited above. To provide access for domestic and international freight with speeds up to 137km/h including direct access from DP London Gateway and Tilbury ports. To provide access for new passenger services including high speed, inter city and main line trains, with permissible speeds up to 300km/h. To provide a GB+ gauge route. To provide full ERTMS Level Two signalling throughout ML1. To create major capacity savings on existing lines, including the North London Line, due to the rerouting of freight services onto ML1 where possible. To spur on major regeneration programs, including residential projects, as part of the overall development. To create substantial employment during construction and permanent thereafter. Mainline One Limited shall own the proposed new lines. Maintenance of the tracks will be outsourced (as like HS1).
