About Mair Perkins Animation and Illustration

Hello, I’m Mair and I run Mair Perkins Ltd. Animation and Illustration. I'm a one person company and I specialise in creating explainer videos, visual essays and PSAs with a particular focus on communicating social or environmental messages. I’m a hands on, independent creative business owner. So I’m experienced with idea generation, script writing, storyboarding, art direction, character design, illustration, animation production and all the project management, communication and organisational stuff that goes with that (I’m rather fond of writing and ticking off to-do lists). I work with a local music producer who sources my voice overs and often does sound design for my animation projects.. I have been running my business full time since 2011 and set up my company in 2012. Since then I have worked with clients such as The World Economic Forum, the BBC, Channel 4, Hat Trick Productions, The Alan Turing Institute, Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, Vodafone, Microsoft 365, Gala Bingo, The Peak District National Park, NUS (National Union of Students), Derby City Council and many UK University researchers.
