This is a place where women celebrate their own version of beauty, not someone else’s version of who they should be.” Angel Cornelius, Founder & CEO Angel Cornelius is a New Orleans Native that grew up mixing beauty elixirs and concoctions in her kitchen. Her childhood love of creating products would prove useful in adulthood. After deciding to ditch chemical relaxers and toxic beauty ingredients in 2012, she became frustrated with the lack of products that were both effective and affordable. Angel returned to the kitchen and started blending multi-purpose butters and creams. She formulated products with simple and pure ingredients that were also able to withstand all climates and temperatures without residue or a sticky after feel. She created her signature body butter that quickly went viral in her church community in Sugar Land, Texas. That body butter, Pomegranate Kiss, was eventually introduced to nearly 15,000 Essence BeautyBox subscribers, which launched the brand nationally. Her follow-up launch to the popular body butter was the unique Maison 276 3-Step System for silver and blonde hair. This revolutionary system brightens and hydrates silver and blonde hair without the use of harsh purple dyes. Angel continues to develop and hand blend each new formula herself before taking it to a lab. The company has been featured by numerous national media outlets including The TODAY Show, Vogue, USA Today, Yahoo! Finance, Oprah Magazine, ESSENCE, Hello Beautiful, Health, OK!
