About Maitland and Butler Architects

Maitland & Butler Pty Ltd, Architects was established in August 1982 with Neil Maitland and Greg Butler as its active principals. The practiced has thrived over a period of 30 years with a wide range of commercial and residential clients and a variety of projects ranging from small to large. Our projects have included: Residential - individual houses and multi-unit developments Office refurbishments Hospital extensions and renovations Nursing Homes School extensions and maintenance Hostels - new buildings and refurbishment Warehouse, workshop facilities and factories Emergency Services and Mines Rescue Training Facilities Airport master planning, alterations to terminals and infrastructure, car parks and hangars, Programmed Maintenance The range of architectural services offered includes feasibility studies, schematic design, detailed design, contract documentation, calling and evaluating tenders, contract administration, and formulation, documentation and supervision of preventative maintenance programmes. Neil tragically died in 2012, but since then Greg has been revitalising the practice with additional architectural staff, and expanding our collaboration possibilities with new technologies for networking. Our reputation for good, sensible and practical architecture has served us well until now, and that won't change. However, we look forward to the future as we head into a new phase of the practice.
