About MAJU: The Youth Policy Initiative
MAJU is a ground-up, fully youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering Singaporean youths in policy discourse and co-creation. By promoting constructive dialogue and serving as a bridge between youths and the Government, we hope to drive the keMAJUan (progress!) of our nation. Today, MAJU leads efforts to advance youth engagement with policy through three strategic pillars. First, to champion youth voices, MAJU channels Policy Papers to Government agencies for consideration. Second, to spark informed conversations, MAJU produces a range of Policy Publications for public consumption. Third, to inspire early interest in policymaking, MAJU offers initiatives such as the MAJU Modular Experience for pre-tertiary students. Since 2021, MAJU has moved the needle on youth involvement in policymaking through active collaboration with Government agencies, community groups and academic institutions, including MOM, MTI, HPB, NYC, MENDAKI, and IPS. Many policymakers, including PS (MCCY) and CEO (NYC), have recognised MAJU as a unique platform that empowers youths to co-create policies.
