About Mäkelä Alu Oy
We are a family-owned company specialised extruding aluminium profiles. Our company has operated 80 years in Finland, on the region of South-Ostrobothnia in small village of Luoma-aho. We specialize in manufacturing customer-specific profiles. Nearly all of our production consists of aluminium profiles tailored to meet our customers’ needs. We want to be a part of our customers’ production processes and offer added value services in addition to profile manufacturing. Over the years, we have developed some additional design-, surface treatment-, logistics- and warehousing services. ALUMINIUM PROFILES Aluminium as a material is well suited for extrusion. Extruded profiles can be used in various fittings and light but sturdy structures. We manufacture aluminium profiles for several different industries, so our highly versatile product range covers practically all applications. 90 % of our production is customer profiles but we have also standard profiles. You can find our standard profile list from our website. SERVICES Mäkelä Alu services include five parts to support the manufacturing aluminium profiles. Our services are AluDesign®, AluCoating®, AluStorage®, AluCallOff® and AluBasket®. You can find more information about the services from our website www.makelaalu.fi/en/services. ENVIRONMENT Our mode of operation is responsible and based on respecting the environment. We've been operating in our own village for 80 years now. All of our emissions to the air, waters and soil are monitored continuously and we work actively to minimize them. Our closed production environment, where all recyclable materials are collected for further processing, is also an essential part of how we protect nature and the environment. All production scrap is recycled in our own foundry to create material for our production lines. We take into account the entire lifecycle of our products – profiles removed from use can be smelted and used as recycled material.
