About Makers Alliance
Makers Alliance is the strategic advisory body for manufacturing in Northern Ireland. Formed in 2021 we bring industry together with stakeholders from academia, Invest NI, Department for Economy and local government. Our vision is of Northern Ireland as a vibrant landscape for manufacturers, underpinned by an ecosystem of support which drives innovation and growth. We published our strategic plan for manufacturing in NI,”Making a Better Future” in 2022 (updated in 2023), and launched our delivery plan “Vision With Action” in September 2024. Working with industry to develop clusters, collaboration and solve challenges linked to - skills & labour, productivity & competitiveness, innovation & technology, supply chain, energy & environment and infrastructure. Makers Alliance is led by industrialists, chaired by Sir Michael Ryan with a panel of industry leaders from across the manufacturing landscape in Northern Ireland.
