About Makita Belgium

Makita was founded in 1915 in Japan and has grown from a company that, among other things, was dealing with the production, maintenance and repair of electric motors. Around 1950 began the production of electric tools with the introduction of the first portable electric planer in the world. Today, a century later, Makita has become one of the leading manufacturers of power tools in the world, with an annual production of more than twenty million machines. The essentials have not changed in the meantime. Makita still concentrates one thing: machines to work with. Electric motors stood at the cradle of Makita, and are still today the solid foundation for the Makita tools, both on AC or on battery. In addition, Makita also develops tools for compressed air and gasoline. With the acquisition of Sachs-Dolmar, Fuji Robin and Kanematsu Group also took the constructors home with years of experience and a strong reputation for the production of motorized garden tools and air tools. Around these engine no more fringe than needed is built. Makita machines are robust and simple, both in use and in maintenance. They are made with one purpose in mind: to perform day after day. That no money is put into unnecessary and farfetched electronic gadgets, does not mean that Makita does not invest in innovation. Quite the contrary! Makita is a pioneer where it matters, namely in developing machines that quickly, safely and comfortably get the job done. Thus, the ability of the Makita cordless tools is unsurpassed; a good example is the only 1.4 kg lightweight impact screwdriver BTD130FSFE with lithium-ion battery pack that sets standards worldwide in its class. Or the Makita rotary and demolition hammers with unprecedented innovative Anti-Vibration Technology which pairs impact force to an unparalleled user comfort.
