About Maktab Academy

Maktab is an online Islamic academy seeking to raise the level of Islamic literacy among Muslims. Historically, the maktab was an institution of learning the essentials of one's Islam. The word itself is derived from the Arabic root of "k-t-b," which means 'to inscribe, write, or prescribe.' Between online and in-person programming, we want to create a personalized community where you can attain quality Islamic education for you and your family. Something fulfilling and consistent. Our first program Quran For Professionals has now been running successfully for 8 years. Now we are developing our online academy into a holistic Islamic educational experience. Our instructors have training in the Islamic sciences, professional university educations, and global expertise. We seek to combine between scholarship, pedagogy, and the needs of our students.
