Makuyuni Cologne e.V. is a private organization in Germany, which advocates for the right to education everywhere in the world. Our idiom ‘Education for all!’ means for us that the 264 million people living in the world should be able to access education, because education is a human right! It all began in Makuyuni, Tanzania, therefore our organization carries this name. Makuyuni Cologne e.V. is an open network of people who stand for following values: Sustainability Fun Solidarity Commitment Diversity Openness Trust Our principle is help for self-help, which means that we only enable the development of education infrastructure instead of actively operating it. To be specific, we support our friend Lalahe with ideas and funds, who then realizes and coordinates the work in Tanzania himself. He knows the local people and their needs more than any of us ever could, and therefore has a strong understanding of what’s needed in these communities at any given point.
