Women of childbearing age should consume at least 400 μg of folic acid each day for at least one month before and three months after conception. MamaCare also contains a type of Iron, which is gentle on the stomach, and is a good source of Iodine for normal production of thyroid hormones. MamaCare may be less nauseating than a tablet with high Iron content. High Iron supplementation has been found to be one of the common causes of nausea in pregnancy.
