About Mamma Swim

Mamma Swim is a community interest company empowering mums to boost their mental and physical health through the joy and benefits of swimming. Our mission is to inspire, engage and empower mums to help them build confidence and strength in the water and all areas of their lives. Swimming is a social skill as much as a life skill however, we've lost so many creche provisions at UK swimming pools that a generation of kids could grow up without access to these facilities. Mums who don't have supportive partners or nearby family struggle to get back into the water unless they can find someone else to share the load. Mamma swims unique childcare swap is an excellent solution to this problem. It empowers new mums to prioritise their own health and well-being in a supportive group, looking after one another's babies whilst they each grab a much-needed swim. The group provides a sense of community and support, which is essential for new mothers who may be feeling isolated or overwhelmed. Swimming is also a brilliant and gentle form of post-natal exercise, boosting maternal physical and mental health. Regaining body confidence helps women get themselves back into swimming costumes, into pools, and into swimming with the kids. Mamma Swim coordinates a voluntary service to ensure that more women have access to the physical and mental health benefits of swimming because we have a first-hand understanding of the hugely positive impact that swimming and community can have on the lives of mothers and of their families.
