About Manchester Bike Kitchen

The Manchester Bike Kitchen is a not for profit organisation established by three experienced community development officers with decades of credible experience developing successful community initiatives. MBK is formed as a not for profit Community Interest Company (CiC) and it’s mission is to support people in becoming self-sufficient and proficient in bike maintenance and offer volunteering opportunities alongside training, advice and standard bike shop activities such as repairs and services with social value and community at its heart. The organisation operates a pop up shop in Stanley Square Sale in Trafford, Clarendon Square Mall in Hyde and Wythenshawe Civic alongside regular pop up community events and the service contract for repairs and course delivery for Seashell Trust, Cycling UK, TfGM (Bee Network) and Greater Manchester Police. All staff are Industry recognised qualified bike mechanics and both Ride and Mountain Bike Leaders via Cycling UK. Manchester Bike Kitchen is a Park Tool School and affiliated training provider for Cycling UK.
